Our Journey

We’re not missionaries in the traditional sense.
We didn’t raise support, pack everything up, and move with a plan.
We just heard God say “Go.”, 2 months later we did.

We left behind steady paychecks, a predictable life, and everything familiar.
Now, we live in southern Mexico — learning to trust Him daily, even when the path feels unclear.

This journey isn’t glamorous. There’s no five-step strategy.
Sometimes the biggest act of faith is doing laundry in a strange washer or showing up for someone when we feel completely poured out.

But we’ve seen God meet us in the smallest, quietest ways.
And this space exists to tell those stories, not because we’ve arrived, but because we’re still walking. Still listening. Still learning to say yes.

Wherever He leads, we want to follow with open hands.

Why We Came—Together

If you’ve read our individual stories—mine and Doug’s—you’ll notice something important:
We didn’t come to Mexico for the same reason.

I came because of missions. I felt the pull long before the logistics made sense. I knew God was calling me to go, to serve, and to step out in faith.
Doug came looking for stability. After everything we’d walked through, he was drawn to the idea of peace—a reset for our family, a place to breathe, rebuild, and rest.

And at first, those reasons felt like opposite ends of a spectrum. I wrestled with that. Would people understand? Would they question our purpose?

But here’s what I’ve come to believe:
God doesn’t need our motives to match—He just needs our willingness.

The truth is, our stories may have started in different places, but God brought them to the same coordinates. We’re both here. We’re both growing. And we’re both being changed by what this season is teaching us.

Sometimes mission looks like preaching or teaching.
Sometimes it looks like raising sons, rebuilding trust, and learning to serve quietly.
Sometimes it starts with purpose, and sometimes it starts with pain.

But if we’re here with open hands and surrendered hearts—we’re still on mission.
